Hello, im using Lan Internet, but its DHCP, but can anybody tell me what is the different of 255.255.255.0 and 255.255.254.0, because 255.255.255.0 it when i add x.x.x.x/24 ip address, but i dont know what is the 2nd..

255.255.254.0 is /23 with 510 usable IP Addresses

Just a note on those netmasks. Sometimes they can mislead you. For example
192.168.1.1/23 (same as 255.255.254.0)
does not include the 192.168.2.x IP set. It includes the 192.168.0.x set
what is the maximum of ip address, because since today i knew that the maximum of ip address is 253,is any ip address more than 510.

192.168.0.1/22 will give you about 1000 IP addresses. Same as netmask 255.255.252.0
192.168.0.1/21 will give you about 2000 IP addresses. Same as netmask 255.255.248.0
But what is possible and what is realistic are two different things. 500 is about as many as I have needed.
