I’ve got my clients setup using PPPoE. When they authenticate, they get an address on a class C network, but their computer says they have a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255. Does this subnet mean that the computer is on its own little subnet? If so, will a virus like Blaster be able to scan beyond the subnet of the computer since it’s mask is 255.255.255.255? It seems to me that a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255 is a one-host subnet for that one ip address e.g. 10.10.10.1 sm255.255.255.255, but I just wanted to clarify.
Thanks,
Mike
