Subnet Size

Hello

I am thinking of using PPTP or L2TP to connect all my customers back to the office.

If I had 500 customers (I don’t yet) what is teh biggest subnet size I should use?

I was told broadcast traffic can be a problem.

Is this a good way of doing it?

a /23 will give you 510 usable addresses.

I’m guessing that you’ll make that the address pool to assign to each connection? If so then each link will be a /32 anyway and broadcast traffic etc should be minimal I think. I might be wrong tho.

Only microsoft windows broadcasts over PPP tunnels, AFAIK.
