Has anyone managed to test WMM yet? I tried it out on 2 links so far but not been able to see any real results. First test was on an AP with 10 clients. Set 2 rules on both the client and the ap. First rule set the priority for all ICMP traffic to 7 and second rule set all other traffic to priority 1. I then set some pings going from a work station and saw counters increment fro the correct rule. When I then did a bandwidth test from the client the ping times increased dramatically. I changed various priorities for both rules but it didn’t seem to make any difference.
Second test was the same test but on a dedicated PTP link with no other traffic. Same results.
I have seen a similar tests performed on another (none Mikrotik) platform that supports 802.11e with very different results. Interested to see anyone elses test results or if there is a known issue with the current RC implementation.
