Hi,
we have ptp nv2 link on about 2km distance. we are running rb711HA boards whit r5Hn cards on 5.21 firmware.
signal is about 62/62 and ccq is about 92/98, 270/300.
today it have disconnected several times whit error codes like,
lost connection, synq timeout
anyone who have any idea what the error might be? should i lock the link at 270/270 instead to get a more stable link?
the ptp link have worked flawless since the installation, about 1,5 years.

I forgot update both sides!
please post signal RX/TX strength on both chains
/interface wireless registration-table print stats
Try Nstreme , see what happens
Hi, and thanks all for your replies,
currently we are running 5.26 on both ends,
now one end is constantly showing;
router was rebooted without proper shutdown,
and their is no problem whit the ups/psu because there is several devices connected to it.
We will try to change the board and hopefully we will get a stable link.
What type of antennas are being used?
jirous jrc-29 duplex, 38cm.
distance about, 2-3km.
JRC-29 DuplEX is listed as 65cm and not 38cm?

2-3km with a 29dB antenna? and you have only -62/-62 ?
Is too low. there are bad pointings or obstacles
I expect at least -45dB
I was about the ask the same until i read “…38cm.” as jirous jrc-29 duplex are 65cm

Please upgrade the ptp link routers to RouterOS v6.6 and then do a wireless reset configuration on wireless interface. After that specify the settings you need to establish the ptp link - mode,ssid,country,frequency,antenna-gain,wireless-protocol,ht-chains. Then check how it is working.
It is also possible that maybe some other wireless link started to operate near your ptp link.

5.24 is the nv2 release where improvements took place.
Upgrading further will show now further improvements (but may show up some new bugs).
We stay at 5.24 where possible for the moment until betaphase of 6.x ends.
Then its not a JRC-29 but anouther jirous antenna that is 38cm. I dont have the exact produkt name in the head =)
Yes, that could be, but to achieve a stable link you have to lower the signal to about -60.

No, we would not upgrade past 5.26, as. ste said, you fellows aren’t done playing whit ros6 yet and are using us as test pilots, where do I send the bill??
We will try changing the board to a new one. Probably the problem will go away.
If the antenna is not as stated then what is the gain of this 38cm?
I have very stable links at -50, but signal is only part of having a good stable link?
well we dont care so much about the signal level, it is the ccq level that matters.
