Suggested HW for highly loaded mikrotik router

Hi all,
we have big problems with mikrotik routers that are under high performance. e.g. we have several PPPoE servers based on Mikrotik and when the server connects up to 1000 connections with downlink speed up to 20Mbit, the router is at 99% CPU and has problems with response times for authorization etc..
Also if we have router with several tree-queues for content management on link up to 30-50Mbit it is visible that the HW performance is going down.

Is there a suggested HW for building better HW platform for Mikrotik? I’ve heard that some NIC adapters consumes CPU time more than another. Also it is question of CPU/RAM/NIC speed and throughoutput.

Does anyone have experiences and can help?

What hardware are you using now?

I’ve been having good luck with SuperMicro boards & RB 44G cards.

Some other people on the forums have been reporting problems with the 44G cards. Are you seeing any issues? We had a rash of problems with the 44 boards and have stopped using them on the SuperMicro boards. I was wondering if the 44G works any better. What model of SuperMicro MB are you using?
