Suggestion: 16Port 2.5G Switch with 25G Uplink

Hi, I currently in the Process of redoing my Homlab’s Network. I want to switch to 2.5G networking for all my devices as default. For this I’m in search for a 2.5G switch with ~16Ports and 25G Uplink. The price range should be 400$

The closest I found was the TrendNet TEG-3182WS (only 10G Uplink). How likely is that Mikrotik makes such a Switch this year? Does this kind of a Switch already exist from other Manufacturers?

CRS318-16G+2XS+IN

  • 16x 2.5GbE Ports
  • 2x 25G SFP28 Ports
  • Same chassis as the CSS318-16G-2S+IN
  • 98DX3520 or 98DX83XX Family Switch chip

What are your thoughts on this?

I’m excited to see MT transition to 25G+ uplinks on everything, 10G is an evolutionary dead-end at this point, I’ve been surprised they’ve continued releasing products with 10G uplinks in the last year or two, but the HW pipeline is probably a few years deep. Hopefully we’ll see some good PoE switches over the next year or two matching your specifications (or better) - not sure on that price point, though.
