One of the units of my trusty old Wireless Wire suffered an early demise due to cable ties failure.
It was tied to a post on my balcony since the product was launched. Sadly the cable ties broke and the unit tipped over. It happened during a heavy rain episode, so it suffered water ingress. To make it worse the most affected part was the 60 GHz radio. The unit boots but the 60 GHz radio is useless beyond hope I guess.
Not trying to exercise warranty of course, but a question and, if applicable, a suggestion:
Are the supplied cable ties UV resistant? These units being intended for outdoor usage the cable ties should be UV resistant. I know, it’s better to use the supplied metal piece but in my case I can’t.
Again, I know I should have checked that now and then, so not complaining, but being such a trouble free system you really forgot it actually exists!
