Hey guys, We just purchased a cable system in a resort town. I inherited a cloudtrax setup that is leaving a lot to be desired. 6 or 7 ap’s. Id like to replace it with mikrotik hardware.
I wondering if anyone has some suggestions for self serve payment systems that would include strand mounted/powered cable modems and mikrotik AP’s (the AP’s themselves would have public IP’s since they would not be on a LAN). I havnt played with capsMan yet, but i assume i could use capsman to manage my AP’s and provide hotspot services from the head-end.
I DO have a daloradius server that i use for PPPOE authentication, has anyone tried to use daloradius for this task? are the better low-cost/free solutions?
We have a scheleton system with PayPal payments (and credit card through it) that we customize for each client. The final system is a virtual machine with integrated radius that has PayPal integration (dalo is present for an easy management).
Actually after reading some of the documentation, our existing daloradius VM should be able to be used for this. The configuration of it looks a little bit like too much heavy lifting for me. Let me know if you are interested in contracting for this job.
