Suggestions Required For New Network !

Dear All,

I need few suggestions. I am installing Mikrotik for estimated 2000 users in a local cable.net environment. All authentication / bandwidth shaping will be done via MT, but HTTP request will be forwarded to ISA/SQUID BOX attached with MT to get the best cache performance.I will user MT RouterOS software USERMANAGER to create prepaid voucher system.

Can you guys give me some recommendations /tips / suggestions ?
What stable RouterOS version to use? Hardware Machine?
I heard there was a problem with UM that it do not prevent Multiple login of same id? is this problem fixed now in newer ver?

you can use mikrotik version 4.17 which is stable sistem and using pppoe to authenticate then UM. pppoe more secure.
but if you want to using prepaid voucher system, you could use UM.
