Superchannel on ac radios?

I’ve been unable to enable Superchannel on any MikroTik ac radios that we’ve purchased. My organization is permitted to use 4.9 GHz, and I am trying to set a NetMetal 921UAGS-5SHPacD to 4.9 GHz. I’ve upgraded the license key to support extra channels, and it shows the “Extra-channels” feature on System | License. However, in the wireless settings, Frequency Mode is stuck on regulatory-domain, Country: United States3. Is it a characteristic of all MikroTik ac radios that they cannot operate in Superchannel mode?

You need the international version if you want unlocked frequencies.

  • RB921UAGS-5SHPacT-NM-US (USA) is factory locked for 5170-5250MHz and 5725-5835MHz frequencies. This lock can not be removed.

  • RB921UAGS-5SHPacT-NM (International) supports 5150MHz-5875MHz range (Specific frequency range can be limited by country regulations).

Do note that 4.9 GHz is still outside of the supported frequency range so results may vary.

You got an USA version - check the product page:

“RB921UAGS-5SHPacT-NM-US (USA) is factory locked for 5170-5250MHz and 5725-5835MHz frequencies. This lock can not be removed.”
"RB921UAGS-5SHPacT-NM (International) supports 5150MHz-5875MHz range (Specific frequency range can be limited by country regulations). "

As in this device, as well as others:

RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT-US (USA) is factory locked for 2412-2462MHz, 5170-5250MHz and 5725-5835MHz frequencies. This lock can not be removed.

I see the US versions do not include UNII-2, or DFS channels. They are allowed in the US, so what is the reason of the lockout?

Highly likely it is because they are not certified to use DFS channels.
