Support for Sierra Wireless MC7700

I don’t see support for the Sierra Wireless MC7700 PCI-e 4G modem in the supported hardware list and the one I tried installing is not showing up in Router OS. I’m not sure if my MC7700 is faulty because I purchased it off eBay for quite cheaply.

Can anyone please confirm whether the MC7700 is supported or not?

In case it’s not, you can make a supout.rif file while running RouterOS v6.6, and send it to support. We might be able to add support.

Support for the MC7710 is available. I believe the MC7700 is based on the same chip so there should be no reason why it cannot work.

Thanks for the replies so far. It would be nice to hear from someone with a MC7700 if it showed up in WebFig’s Interfaces tab, because mine is not. I’m not sure if that means the module is faulty?

I don’t have a laptop or any other computer with a mini PCI-e interface to test it either, so I’m rather reliant on someone else’s experience with this.

I see that the MC7700 comes in many flavours. For instance, It appears to be the best unit available for Bell Canada 4G but you can get in in DirectIP or QMI mode.
The respective part numbers are 1101749 and 1101726.

Now the 64 million dollar question… Which mode is supported on the MikroTik and what level of license is required. I have 2 RB912UAG units (a 2 and a 5).
