Could you add that feature as soon as possible, please? It’s the only problem that i can’t use dude:((( Please add Support of SMTP-Auth for sending email notifications. Thanks a lot!
use some freemail to send dude updates.
Yes, it could be done many complicated ways, like relaying, own mail server etc, but still the easiest would be to add SMTP-Auth to MT and Dude. These days at least 90% of ISPs wants auth. access to their Smtp servers.
I don’t beleive it would be so hard to implement this for MT.
This is the only feature I’m missing… ![]()
I agree .. I am not going to depend on some freemail service to deliver vital notifications. This is a must have feature.
Embedded SMTP server is the only good solution. Need smtp.npk!
This can easily be accomplished on a Windows server by bringing up the SMTP virtual server with IIS. However, since I am now convinced that Dude on RouterOS on X86 is more reliable than anything else finally, we cant do that cleanly without the embedded SMTP server. The quick, but dirty fix is to acquire a Win2K Server and put it on the same network that Dude is running and lock it down to only accept SMTP from the Dude machine’s IP…
