Supported X86 hardware

Hi

Im needing to build an X86 based RouterOS device but the supported X86 systems on the Wiki are pretty old.

Does anyone know if the Dell R210 works ( ideally with SSD drive). If not, can anyone please recommend an off the shelf X86 server?

I’m pretty sure any x86 would work. I’ve certainly seen dual core 4GB RAM configurations…

But the reason the descriptions on the wiki refer to seemingly ancient systems is because those are the minimum requirements. You don’t need a top of the shelf hardware to have an excellent router. The aforementioned greater configurations were used only for a short period, until the owner (rightly) decided they’re better suited as web servers.
