hi,
can anyone tell me if it’s possible to configure a surfshark vpn on a mikrotik routerboard?
I tried to set this vpn with l2tp security protol but the routerboard doesn’t connect.
I have no problem on windows 10.
Thanks in advance.

I will raise it.
I also have problems setting up the router. Communicated with tech support surfshark, but they don’t know anything.
I need help.
As far as I know all these third party VPNs are designed to connect from ones browser on a PC/MAC to the third party server and then to the internet etc…
This is not the purpose or design of VPN routers. They are designed from end point to endpoint vpn routing MT at location A, to MT at location B, OR, remote users using client or OS software connecting to MT. No third parties involved.
It’s not important, it’s a tool, encrypted tunnel, you can use it for anything you want.
Problem with this kind of VPNs is that their target group is mostly non-technical users. So they either create some magic one-click application, or show few guides for most common operating system, but often don’t bother with sharing technical info. So if you want to use their service from some other device, it’s trial and error.
Another problem, specific to RouterOS, is that very popular choice for used technology is OpenVPN, including those parts that MikroTik didn’t implement.
