Does anyone know if the RouterOS will work with a Sveasoft OS via WDS? I heard that not all implementations of WDS communicate with one another.

Yes it’s work I tested but with DD-WRT (v22 based on Sveasoft and v23) in 2.8.2x enter the MAC address in access list and uncheck default authenticate work but in 2.9.x don’t need check default authenticate to work.
I don’t tested more replace WRT with Mikrotik
