SW EM7305

I am new with the Mikrotik and have a problem that the router board does not recognize the LTE card. I have a RB912UAG-5HPnD router board and a sierra wireless air prime EM7305. I first wanted the MC type but the company who sold me it told me that they would stop production so they advised me to go for EM. This is not a good idea but after contact with mikrotik support I have bought an adaptor card.

The big question is now how to get the EM7305 working? Anyone any experience?

I recently received a message from sierra wireless that a few card types will gooing out of production so for future designs I would have to go to MC7455. Is this supported by Mikrotik?

This page:

https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware

lists only MC73xx as working. And none of your other models.

The MC7305 and EM7305 are the same module with different form-factor. MC = mini PCIe, EM = M.2 NGFF.

A simple passive adapter is all that’s required to make them nearly indistinguishable to routerOS. Both interface via the USB2.0 pins in their respective connectors.

OP, if the device isn’t showing up at all, you most likely have an adapter that doesn’t feed through the required pins. You need an adapter with an E-keyed M.2 slot that specifies it passes through the USB/SIM card pins, like this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/M-2-NGFF-Key-E-to-mPCIe-PCIe-USB-Converter-Adapter-Support-Full-Half-Size-/282353044868?hash=item41bd8d8d84:g:avgAAOSwLEtYmZZA

The card adapter you mention is a module A, the sierra wireless card is a module B so I have a module B adapter.

BTW, this is the new page, only this one will get updates:

Thanks for the list. as you probably know sierra wireless will not produce the 73xx modules any more, only the 74xx will be available. is there any idea when the 74xx modules will be supported.

I also read on a lot of pages that the 73xx will have LTE support from OS version 7 when will this be released because see posts of 2016 where this is mentioned?
