Hello,
I’ve a little problem with switching feature configuration on my routerboard (RB450G)…
- My RB is connected to a switch (not manageable) on port 3,
- Two servers are connected to ports 4, and 5,
- The link between these two servers and RB must be tagged on vlan 10, 20 and 30,
- The link between switch and RB cannot be tagged, but the vlan-id of the port must
be 10.
Before, I used bridges features to do this, but bandwidth is greatly limited. So, I want to use the switch feature to get better perfs.
For the moment, my configuration is:
- Switch-group configured with port 3 as master-port,
- Vlans are configured with:
- Vlan 10: Port 3, 4, 5 & CPU
- Vlan 20: Port 4, 5, & CPU
- Vlan 30: Port 4, 5 & CPU
- I’ve also configured vlans on master-port on routerboard side.
But I cannot find how to configure default vlan for port 3. The wiki talks about vlan 0 when tag is missing, but I don’t know what to do with that. I also take a look into rules to automatically tag with vlan 10 frames comming from port 3, but the wiki does not specify if this feature is used as input or output on speficied port, and if rules are executed before or after vlan checking…
What is the best method to solve this problem ?
Thanks by advance,
Antoine.
