Hi,

So far I can only locate a 24v 5A 155w SMPS with charger function http://www.interprojekt.com.pl/155w-switching-power-supply-with-chargerups-function-p-570.html does any know of a unit with higher current rating

Many thanks for the link, just need to translate to english the 24v - 10A, 24V - 20A and prices in Euro

I was considering using 2 X Meanwell 24v 5A 155w power supplies with steering diodes to supply 5 sectors + 6 PtP links and I maybe adding others at a later date, but am concerned that if one goes faulty the one still working may not be enough even with attaching cooling fans to last very long.

I now use and a 10A 24v float battery charger connected to 2 X 113AH deep cycle batteries and is working perfect, with this method I have days backup on the battery bank. I am awaiting to install a current meter so I can calculate exactly the battery life on site rather than best estimate.
