switching router vlans

I have home network configuration as shown below.

I have configured RB250GS , made trunk ports to RB951 (main router).

But i have stoped getting further in configuring VLAN switching in RB951.

if i create a vlan with id 3 on eth3,i can set vlan with id 3 on eth4 (but it has different name), so after that i have to add seperate /ip address for each vlan.

if i use /interface ethernet switch and set there vlan`s, i don’t see them in /ip address for settings ip’s

if i make vlan3 on eth3, set eth4 and eth5 as slave ports of eth3(=master port), then it seems to doesn’t work !?

it looks impossible to make a vlan3 - located on multiple interfaces (eth3,4,5)?

the only way i figured out is to make bridges?
doesn’t it affect cpu load and performance?
(e.g., bridge3, joins eth3.vlan3+eth4.vlan3+eth5.vlan3;
bridge4, joins eth4.vlan4+eth5.vlan4)

You have the right idea. Make a bridge which contains the two (trunk) VLAN interfaces plus the interface that you want that VLAN to appear on untagged.

Some of the routerboard products have switch chips which include some VLAN features but I don’t think the features on the switch chip on this particular board will help you.
