Hello, I am new to this. I have an RB260GPS. Can you explain to me how to configure the main WAN and backup WAN on the ports? Port 1 as the main WAN, port 2 as the backup or secondary WAN, and ports 3-8 as internet output ports.
Hi and welcome, I split your topic into a new thread.
Can you provide more info on what you want to do ?
Maybe a small drawing ?
The small problem is that RB260GPS has 6 ports and is a SWITCH.
What do you mean saying: "WAN and backup WAN" for a switch?
I do not think that it is a proper device to be a router.
You need a router, not a switch.
We could make a meme out of this, in a switch:
All your port are belong to LAN. ![]()
The RB260GSP should never have had RB in the name. It was renamed to CSS106-1G-4P-1S which is a much more accurate name. It's a 6 port switch with 4 passive PoE ports, a 1G non-PoE port and an 1G SFP cage.
It has no routing ability. The OS is SwOS (Switch OS) which is simplified compared to ROS.
What is connected to port 5? It appears to be a wifi-router. If it is supported by openwrt, it is possible you could use it for multiwan and support vlans (which the CSS106-1G-4P-1S does support).
If you configure as you have shown, it will not work.
It is the wrong tool for the job.
