SWR and radio damage?

Hi All!

Got a question for the radio buffs out there. I did a test this week with a R52/17dbi sector antenna combo on a rooftop, not realizing that there was a very powerful bridge transmitter on my frequency on the adjacent roof.

Am I correct in presuming that there could have been damage to my transmitter from a standing wave in the transmission line caused by the bridge transmitter? The receiver seems to be ok, but since the exposure, my transmitter seems to have lost most of its power.

Don’t know what happened then. It had been working fine for two weeks on its test run. Then I moved it up on the top of that building and now it is really weak. I will write it off to coincidence then.
