The system recognize the usb stick and it seems to work (a little bit instable ) but the main problem is that I have a very small coverage area, I tried to change the antenna with big one but the problem persist, my idea is the driver is not perfect and it don’t manage well the output power or something similar.
Any ideas to solve this issue? SXT + usb stick is a cheap all in one solutions.
i think it might help your case to post some winbox shots with a client or two connected to the AP to determine if it may be a hardware, software, or configuration issue.
Sorry I explained in bad way and I apologise for my bad english.
I connect the TL-WN422G (or TL-WN722N) to the usb port of the SXT to use it like as a 802.11 b/g (or N) card in AP mode. The system works but it is very unstable:
poor signal just after few meters (I tried several 2.4 antenna via external connector)
clients are not cancelled by registration list after disconnection
in registration page last activity change but client is disconneted
during bandwith test from PC to SXT system sometime crashes or disconnect (I need to reboot SXT to connect again)
in 802.11 B/G mode no signifcative signal difference changing the antenna from A to B (I tried several 2.4 antenna via external connector)
maybe AR9271 driver is not good. But I like the idea to use SXT + USB like a small all in one PtP + AP solution.
