Hello,
Does the SXT-5HPnD actually have a gig Ethernet port? It says it has the option on the interface, but I can not get the port to sync at 1Gpbs. It always stays at 100.
I remove auto negotiation, lock it at 1Gig fulldpx, it stays at 100.
Devices on the other end are a RB-250GS, and a laptop with Gig port. Neither link at 1Gbps. I have tried straight and cross cables.
I am also using the stock PoE injectors that come with the units from Mikrotik.
Am I mistaken in thinking they are Gig ports?
I am running 5.24 firmware with latest routerboard firmware.
No, SXT 5HPnD does not have a Gigabit port. There is another model with a Gigabit port, the SXT G5HnD
Current lineup of SXT devices, features are indicated in the product name (G = Gigabit)
SXT Lite2 - 2GHz lite model
SXT Lite5 - 5GHz lite model
SXT G-2HnD - 2GHz Gigabit model
SXT G-5HnD - 5GHz Gigabit model
SXT 5HPnD - 5GHz High output power model
SXT 5HnD (discontinued)
Damn… I think I am mistaken.
I ordered the units with the Gig ports, but they did not send me the units that I ordered. (Somebody made a mistake on the model number somewhere.)
MT your model numbers are VERY confusing.
voxframe what is confusing? “G” indicates Gigabit. It is quite obvious. 5 indicates 5GHz. HP indicates “high power”.
All those things are abbreviations of features.
Apparently it’s very confusing to the distributor.
I didn’t get the model that I ordered, I checked my order and I ordered the one with a Gig port, so they made the mistake.
(I know this isn’t MT’s problem, but it can be confusing)
