Hello,
I am having this problem with two SXT Lite5. are they bricked? there is no ethernet link, no beep on boot, nothing but those 3 leds on. Reset procedure does nothing either.

Are sure you’re trying to reset it correctly? Does it appear on a netinstall server?
Push the reset button before you apply power, hold it until the device appears in Netinstall. then release the button.
if you hold the button before applying power, it will use a backup bootloader. very hard to “brick” a device that even the backup loader doesn’t work.
Normis, regarding main/backup booter, is a unit in warranty covered if main booter gets unusable?
Yes, of course
Pushing the reset button before power and holding it does nothing. it keeps the 3 signal leds and the power LED lit but no user LED, no beep and no link in the ethernet port. netinstall does not see it. I’ve tried to reset it with the reset button and with a screwdriver in the config reset hole.
I have a similiar case of sxt, 3 signal lights on, ethernet not working and pressing down either of the reset buttons does not respond to either netinstall or backup bootloader.
Unique problem that i have never encountered in 218 SXts installed in our sites.
I came across same problem with one of my SXT Lite5. It was totally unresponsive. No Resest or no Netinstall whatsoever.
Two three lights were glowing and no sound of booting no beep. At most of the times a good Netinstall will solve 95% of Mikrotik Problems. But this was new. So i came across simple idea of giving a simple tap at its back. And Surprise it booted.
Checked its logs and it was showing Ether link up and down errors. So i gave it a latest upgrade with Netinstall and now it runs like a dream. So Try Tapping and it might do work for u as well.

tapped gently and nothing. tossed it and also nothing. I use those SXT to keep my papers from flying around
That problem does persist. Even my tapping was a temporary fix.
Had it replaced from dealer.
This problem is usually related to either the reset button or reset “pad” on the PCB being corroded, making a short.

My unit was a new one, so corrosion had to be ruled out. However i do think that the culprit could be the reset button.
For future reference: you can confirm the reset button being the fault with a multimeter, test continuity between both reset button solder points on the PCB, or between the reset “hole” PCB pads.
If there’s continuity without the reset button pressed, it’s faulty.
Good idea. Thanx.
So did we find a good fix for these bricked devices? The ones which have led lights on but otherwise dont work on netinstall or anything else?
I got mine replaced from dealer.
Thanks ajinder, seems like thats the only hope.
This three led problem is hardware problem. and this problem only occurs when sxt hits the ground (mishandling). the only solution is if the device is in warranty send it for replacement or if device is out of warranty than do cpu re-balling. we try this on five of sxt lite 5 4 of them are repaired by cpu re-balling.
