i used to logon to all my sxts that on the network via winbox,recently i discovered that i couldn’t not logon to one of them on the network via the winbox again.i could only logon by telnet to the cpe,please how can i fix this problem. thank you.

make sure the winbox (8291) is enable.
If it’s ok, make user you are allowed to log on to Router via winbox from specific IP address

thanks sadeghrafie, the port is enabled and ip address allow is 0.0.0.0/0 i.e. it should allow all ip addresses to connect to it.please have you experinence this before?
How do you try? MAC or IP ?
If your SXT is behind another router, you can’t connect to it with MAC.
the sxt is connected to switch and likewise my system.both mac and ip addresses i have tried,but before now i used to connect via the winbox using both mac and ip.
Strange to me. What happens exactly when try to connect via winbox? What is the error?
it makes attempt to open and just disppears without giving any error.
did you say is strange,that more reason that mikrotik has to come out with solution before it spoils their sxt market.

wow, try to upgrade to V5.8. It may be fixed. In any release of OS some bugs fixes.

You can do it via ftp.
in ip service check whether ftp is enabled or not. If not enable it. then go to My computer(in Windows) >> ftp://x.x.x.x
past the npk packages there. then reboot.
