SXT G-5HnD praised as 25 Degree Sector.

This is a bad marketing joke or shouldn’t I laugh?

A Sector should have:

  • good Front to back ratio as I expect to mount more than one sector an a site
  • Small vertical beam to give a good pattern on horizontal

Of course I can use it as AP for a small amount of users within the beam but this
can be done with every MT driven Antenna with a Level 4 License.

You should insist on proper installations to get good results with MT-Gear. Selling this in
this way you get a lot of NV2-Disconnect threads.

Correct me if I am wrong and this device has a shield kit and a special TX-pattern.

for small deployments this device is ideal.

for large deployments a huge amount of rf interference is to be expected.

Not ideal. It may work great and then suddenly bad. The SXT gets a lot
of signal from behind. If it’s your’s or any other Wlan flying around.

If MT integrates a metal shield this would change things. But better would be to
do a real sector antenna with a SXT attached behind in a metal housing.
