sxt lite 5 cant auto upgrade to newest

hi i am unable to do routeros auto upgrade ,i have internet connection pls check attachment

Check:

IP > routes default gateway (0.0.0.0/0)
IP > DNS Servers

my device ip is 192.168.160.90
and static ip
pls check attachment

You have to set a gateway IP on the SXT, e.g. 192.168.160.1 if that is the proper IP.

Try pinging it first from the SXT.

You have to set a DNS server too, use 8.8.8.8 for example.

how to pinging it from SXT ?

Use Tools > Ping

PLS CHECK ATTACHMENT

I meant pinging to 192.168.160.1; if it does respond, try setting it as Gateway (see entry highlighted in blue in your first Capture.d screenshot).

Try then pinging 8.8.8.8, if it works, that would mean that’s the proper gateway.

Set then 8.8.8.8 in DNS Servers, then try pinging http://www.google.com, if it works, you’re done and can upgrade from System > Packages Check for Updates.

Try using 192.168.160.254 instead.

Post an IP > Arp screenshot if unsuccessful.

try it bro not work set 192.168.160.1 ping first not pinging and set ip as gateway 8.8.8.8 dns sever no result

pls check

when i put any value in dns after apply it vanish from dns

Being able to ping 8.8.8.8 is the first requirement, can you ping 8.8.8.8 using 192.168.160.5 as gateway?

If not, (you stated having internet from your PC, isn’t it?) go to Windows start button, search cmd, launch it (a black command line window will appear) and type

ipconfig /all

And post it here.

Are you clicking the Apply button after entering 8.8.8.8 as DNS server? Can try setting it directly on IP > DNS Servers instead of using Quick Set.

dont know why cmd is not run in my pc.cmd launch fail
yes after enter 8.8.8.8 >apply and also try to configure from ip >dns setting nothing works
8.8.8.8 not pinging atall

is there is any other way to launch cmd ?

Yes, you can locate the executable and launch it.

If the PC network configuration is static, you can also check it on the network interface properties.

Have you tried setting the ip address adquisition mode on the SXT to automatic?

Don’t know if your aware you can manually upgrade the SXT:

1.- Download the proper file (mipsbe version) from http://www.mikrotik.com/download to your PC
2.- Drag and drop the file from your PC desktop or file browser to Winbox, it will be automatically transferred to the SXT
3.- Reboot the SXT, it will upgrade automatically.

sir pls check the attachment

I had exactly this problem on a RB951 and it was caused by the settings on the IP->DNS screen.
There, the 2 timeouts for server and total were both set to 0.000
When I looked at another, working, unit there was 2.000 in the first field and 10.000 in the second.
I changed those values and then I could update.

I have no idea how these wrong values appeared there, it was just a factory-new unit that was put
into use, and then it was once reset to defaults using the “keep button pressed during powerup”
method. I reported it to support but they said the defaults were correct. I am sure I did not change
this.
