I got an sxt lite 5 which I used as cpe. It was working fine until yesterday. When its powered on, it does not give the ram noise neither does it beep. What could be the problem with it? I have tried resetting it a couple of times with no headway.
Try other power adapter.
I tried that. I tried a new cable, a new power cable as well it didn’t work
Push the reset button and then apply power. This will make the device start with the backup bootloader. See if that helps.

The issue is, when i power on the device, on the network box on the pc it indicates the connection, and goes off, indicates the connection and it goes off again and the led indicators on the sxt blinks, goes of and blinks again over and over. So how do I apply the netinstall when the pc can’t communicate?

That is the issue. I can’t get netinstall to see the device. Usually when you power up the sxt lite 5 it makes the first beep and you wait a while then it make the second double beep. In this case. it only make the first beep but not the second double beep.
I have one old SXT, one new SXT r2 and two Grooves doing exactly the same. They all worked fine and just after the upgrade from 6.15 or 6.13 toward 6.18 they lost their ethernet.
I have an RMA request with my provider for these units and basically the old SXT is denied because of its age… but they were working fine.
I’m not happy with that but I’ll guess the price for upgrading regurlarly your network is that sometimes you loose units… 
So there is not way of fixing this issue?
