Nice! Thanks.
Does anyone know when LHGG lte6 kit will be generally available?
I am marking this as solved by Larsa’s suggestion of obstructions in LOS causing the instability.
But feel free to come with further suggestions.
Thanks to Larsa, SiB and mkx for great contributions!
Jens
Yes, we have got in Poland MikroTik Distributors.
Regarding the latency, it might be possible that your BTS was heavy loaded or you had payload traffic going on during the tests. I've checked some statistis for a number of links and most had around 20-30 ms (w/o payload). Live test of a 7 km link using B20:
Without payload:
$ ping xx.xx.xx.xx

Regarding the LHGG LTE6 kit ("RBLHGGR&R11e-LTE6"), it's available at a number of EU shops and ebay.
Larsa,
I think you are right, this is on a live network. And even if I don’t have many devices connected, they may still contribute negatively to my testing, out of my control/knowledge.
I ran a similar test, first with relatively little “disturbance”:
ping xx.xx.xx.xx size 64 count 10
SEQ HOST SIZE TTL TIME STATUS
0 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 30ms
1 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 34ms
2 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 28ms
3 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 34ms
4 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 28ms
5 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 34ms
6 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 28ms
7 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 34ms
8 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 28ms
9 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 34ms
sent=10 received=10 packet-loss=0% min-rtt=28ms avg-rtt=31ms max-rtt=34ms
Then did a test while at the same time running a speedtest.net test (55/33 down/up by the way).
ping xx.xx.xx.xx size 64 count 20
SEQ HOST SIZE TTL TIME STATUS
0 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 33ms
1 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 24ms
2 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 27ms
3 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 29ms
4 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 30ms
5 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 78ms
6 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 60ms
7 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 62ms
8 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 29ms
9 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 106ms
10 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 100ms
11 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 198ms
12 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 131ms
13 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 116ms
14 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 87ms
15 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 87ms
16 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 231ms
17 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 67ms
18 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 49ms
19 xx.xx.xx.xx 64 63 79ms
sent=20 received=20 packet-loss=0% min-rtt=24ms avg-rtt=81ms max-rtt=231ms
Didn’t think the speedtest would do so much “harm” ![]()
As for the LHGG:
It was in stock at my suppliers distributor, it just wasn’t in their webshop/product list at the time I checked.
Its ordered now, should get it over the weekend
Looking forward to giving it a spin…
Edited for clarity…
So I guess I am about there…
Again - thanks!
If you open the top-cover of LHGGR, please do a photo and share ![]()
And remember, Cell Monitor and Cell Lock are often greate way to right connection ![]()
Bad news from supplier, LHGG is not available from the distributor ![]()
No info on when it can be delivered…
