I have a link set up containing two SXT antennas. The distance between them is 900 meters(pretty small). They r set up as station wds/bridge combo. The wireless protocol is any/nv2 , both chains, default Tx power, 803.11 N-only, 20/40 MHz channel. When the link was set up everything was going smoothly. After that some random Chinese people started using scripts to hack one of the two SXT. We removed the IP. After that the link started to drop all the time. I have to go to the location (which is far from my office) and manually reset it. After the reset they communicate for a while and after 2 days or sth, one of them goes down, and I have to go and manually reset it again. Why this instability ? Is it the config? Should the SXTs be changed? I have a similar config on a 4 Km link with SXTs and its going smoothly. I know its not the frequency because I did a sweep and chose the least crowded one, 5300 MHz in my case. Help if u can, thanks
WTF customer service ?
This is not customer service, but a community/user forum. Email support@mikrotik.com if you want customer service.
quick response there huh.
Actually, it says that right here on the forum first page:

siddhartha since every “drop” costs you a long trip, why not replace them with another “clean” pair of SXTs. Then you can diagnose the hacked pair in your office. The first thing I’d want to do is to take the “/export” output of the hacked pair and carefully compare it to the “/export” output of a clean pair.
how was the SXT hacked? why u didn’t protect/secure it??
we have no idea what u r talking siddharth and moreover blaming Mikrotik… ![]()
)) lol well I m also curios how the heck Chinese people hacked SXT?
