Hi all,
I’ve decided to purchase a SXT LTE for use with an EE sim. I’ve had a good experience with the Ltap Mini so I decided to try the SXT.
Now I’m 100% sure this issue isn’t a Mikrotik hardware issue. My area seems to have extremely flakey phone signal. At first installation, I was achieving good speeds but over the last few days it’s been quite on and off.
After having a look at what signal strength I was getting I started to have a look on here and seems I’ve got bad signal to noise ratio. Negative/low SINR readings are considered bad I understand?
Readings are:
RSRP: -91dB
RSRQ: -15.5dB
SINR: -2dB
I’m in London (Kew) and on the river so visually finding the phone masts are a bit of a pain, I’ve found cellmapper.net which seems to list near by cell towers but as it’s an unofficial source, I’m unsure it’s accurate. Besides getting the SXT as high as possible facing the masts, is there anything else that I may have missed?
Thanks in advance.
