Hi,
I’ve recently installed two SXT’s to connect to building using routing as they are both different subnets. This is my first install for P2P links only have experiance in mikrotik as local access points.
The link is roughly less than 200-300m away.
When installing the units alignment was done by sight has the remote site points down towards the main building but being so close it was hard to use signals as the power was too great. Since installing the units the remote link is current set to tx power of 3 and the main end is 4dBm, i did this because i read that ideally i want a -60 signal strength. I’m using nv2 and 5ghz with full options tick to optimise the link.
Alignment has been done by eye as when full bandwidth test was running CCQ was 100/100 interesting when datarates are low and not 270Mbps/270Mbps or there abouts the Tx and Rx CCQ drops. When running no bandwidth test CCQ always seemed lower but at the moment its set to 57tx/70rx and 81mbps/108mbps link.
At the remote end of the link Tx is now -59 and Rx -57.
When i was installing it all i was able to run a full bandwidth test and get 100mb tx/rx speeds, however if i run the tests on either side of the link after about 10 seconds it seems to kick the registration off until i stop the tests. What would be best todo to fix this? I’m running 5.14 on the SXT 5HnD’s. Im unsure if its because the TXRQ CCQ is low whether this is the cause but not sure the best way to get this correct during an install.
Thanks,
Chris
