SXTsq5 at lower frequencies

Hi
on a camping site I had a point to multipoint 5GHz, but is was a bottle neck (100 Mbps). Multipoint AP on RB411AR.
On the low 5GHz frequencies it worked!
It was replaced by 4 SXTsq communicating with 4 individual hotspots (RB411AR: hotspot OB WLAN1 2.4 and uplink WLAN2 R52nM on 5GHz)
PROBLEM:
The SXTsq only supports the 5500+ outdoor frequencies.
We have a weather radar at some 20km distance and the connections on 5500+ and they are failing.

Can I force the SXTsq’s to use the lower (indoor) 5GHz frequencies??

The SXTsq5 can only use outdoor frequencies. The device is designed for outdoor use, and therefor is limited to outdoor allowed frequencies.
Even if used indoors, you can only set it to outdoors.

DFS is a potential problem if priority users are detected. Your device has to move to other frequencies. The check before using a new freq is 1 minute, in the weather radar range it is a full 10 minutes. Users not used to DFS think the device is broken, because in the wait time nothing is transmitted.

Weather channels are 120-124-128 .(5600-5640) Those take 10 minutes with every change.
Other 100+ (5500+) channels have 1 minute listen time.
Don’t let your devices choose freq on “auto”. Make a channels list on the AP. (Or use the new “skip dfs” setting, and avoid weather radars. Don’t skip all DFS or there is nothing left.)

There should be usable channels (100-104-108-112-116) (132-136-140). Some countries have higher freq as well (149 and up / 5745 and up), and they are non-DFS.
