Synchronization timeout disconnect

Have an AccessPoint and two clients, running nv2 in the 5GHz band (5GHz-A). One of the clients has started to get frequent disconnections, and the log shows “synchronization timeout”. After the disconnect, the client re-connects. The problems started about a week ago. Previously it has been working fine. Have tried to chenge the channel, but same problem. Signal is in the -68 to -71dBm range, signal/noise around 25dB and distance approx. 500m.
AP and client are running rather old hardware - RB411AH as the AP and RB411 as client. AP antenna is a small (“sharkfin”) with approx 10dB gain. Client antenna is a RIC/522 with approx 22dB gain.
The other client that connects to the AP (from an SXT- unit has no problems, but the distance is just 200m.

Any suggestions / ideas what to do to make this link stable?
Thinking of replacing hardware with SXT sq - even if the antenna gain is lower. Any other things?
