how to setting syslog on dude 3.0 beta 7 to save the log ???
i was try many time but still got nothing
I hope expert can show the step.
Click the top left settings button.
Click the syslog tab.
Modify the existing syslog or add a new syslog with the + sign.
Double click the existing syslog to modify it.
You can sort which log messages go to which file by filtering on IP address or Regular Expression when you create the syslog rule.
Set Notification drop down to “log to syslog”.
Click on the Notification button with a single dot on it.
This will open the settings file/name where “syslog” is being saved.
Click on the general tab, examine TARGET LOG. That is the file name where syslog will be stored.
You can add a new target log or continue to modify the existing one.
Click on the schedule tab, change if needed…
Click on the notification tab, check the items you would like to be notified of if you are going to be alerted by a syslog event.
I am not being notified of syslog events I am sure I am missing something here… I don’t use them.
Click on the logs in the contents pane (left pane), Double click on the name of the log file you created or just double click the existing syslog.
Change settings for number of files and days etc.
On every device make sure that log server is set to dude server.
