System health in RB433

Hello everyone,

I have a RB433 UAH with RouterOs v.5.2 and my current firmware is 2.29.
Also the package ‘routerboard’ seems to be enabled.
So, it seems that everything is correctly installed.

However, I am unable to obtain health values. Neither with Winbox, nor in the command mode.

Is /system health possible with the RB433 ?

Thanks a lot for your help,
Javier Revilla

Ps. Some details :

When I do :
/system health get voltage
I obtain nothing.

However, when I do :
/system health print
I obtain :
fan-mode: manual
use-fan: auxiliary
active-fan: auxiliary
voltage: 17.8V

What about the CPU temperature and the other variables ?

Thanks.

When I do :
/system health get voltage
I obtain nothing.

“get” only fetches a value. It doesn’t do anything with. If you want to print it to the terminal you have to do so.

:local VOLTAGE [/system health get voltage]; :put $VOLTAGE;

Hello Fewi,

Thanks for your quick reply.

So,
:local VOLTAGE [/system health get voltage]; :put $VOLTAGE;
does the trick.
I knew that RouterOs script syntax was a little strange, but I am getting used to it.

And what about the other health indicators :

  • temperature
  • cpu-temperature
  • current
  • power-consumption

I am unable to obtain them with your method.

And there are not reported with :
/system health print

This means that they are disabled for the RB433 ?

Thanks,
Javier

I would assume they are disabled, yes. My 433 doesn’t show them either.

The RB433 does not allow voltage to be be recorded/seen… The RB433AH allows this.

Hello Fewi and EarthStation,

Indeed, voltage monitoring IS allowed for the RB433UAH and IS NOT for the RB433.
I have both, so I have checked.

However my last question is not answered :

Is there a way of enabling or upgrading the RB433UAH to have the other health indicators ?

  • temperature
  • cpu-temperature
  • current
  • power-consumption

Anyone ?

Thanks,
Javier Revilla

Is there a comprehensive list to see which boards work and which boards do not work to obtain voltage?

no, but you can see if a board has these sensors in their specs page: http://routerboard.com/RB450G

Thank you very much for your prompt and accurate reply. Before I posted I looked on this page:
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:System/Health

Since I couldn’t find it on there I sent a new ticket to give me access to the page but now I think it will simply be better if you update the page with this new information.

The board I was after was the RB433 and now that I have this link based on your link http://routerboard.com/RB433 I can see that it clearly does not support a voltage monitor.

The ticket # that you can close is Ticket#2011071966000326
