I just purchased the router:L009UiGS-RM
I have made several backups after set-up, with was already ok. I do remember the user + pw.
The backups are not encrypted.
I made a configuration mistake and couldn’t login by Winbox any more, so I made a rooter hardware reset,
The login now works only with admin and an empty pw.
Using /Files/File/Restore I can’t login to the router anymore. (by MAC adress).
trying any user/pw combinations.
What I’m doing wrong?

Did you perform Files → Backup (so you ended up with .backup file?). If so, upload the file (if it’s not already on device), in Files click it and select Restore from possible actions.

ERROR: wrong username or password.
After device is restored with binary backup, it should also have users and passwords restored. So whatever was password at the time of creating backup should become password after restoring. And restoring device does require reboot (just mentioning in case it didn’t happen).
You are right, it works again. Wrong pw, sorry.
