System WDS Design (Different Question)

I have two access units each with 802.11b and 802.a cards. I am sending the backbone on the A side and plan to add additoinal units (differnt post talks about this).

Should I consider not doing any 802.a links and just setting everyting up using wds on 802.11b (roaming)? Is there an advantage/disadvantage of not doing the 802.11a links?

Hi,

Using a backhaul design on 5GHz will speed up your network than without it. There is normal overhead load in a WDS network that does not have direct backhaul to the internet source. Using the rtsp bringing will sort out moving traffic via the fastest pipe (and this will always be the backhaul link).
