T-Mobile and LTE6 R11 modem alternative?

Hello All,

Can someone recommend a Modem that will work with T-Mobile on a NetMetal AC2? We currently have a T-Mobile sim and a R11e-LTE6 and cannot pass traffic. Come to find out that T-Mobile has dropped support for the R11e-LTE6 Modem

We are trying to setup https://starthotspot.com/ and keep running into multiple issues. Can anyone recommend a modem that will work with T-Mobile (We are limited in this area to T-Mobile) and the starthotspot cloud based system?

Switch to Mint Mobile or Ultra Mobile or any other T-Mobile MVNO or make sure you’re using the v27 firmware, as that’s what I’m doing right now with the LTE6 modem to post this very message. How does that work? Does T-Mobile use some kind of device whitelist for devices in their network? And why?

Many ISP use recognition of device base at IMEI ( Vendor ID + SerialNumber ) and some devices are certified to be used only with proper PLAN and proper APN.
