Any T1 cards out there that will work in my MT pci slot? I just got my T1 and now Im told that I have to use a Cisco Router
Would like to use the MT. Any thoughts?
Mike
Look at http://www.sbei.com (SBE / LMC 1200 cards work) now called sbe 1t1.
Also look at the users manual for additional supported cards (look under syncronus support) . from Farsync, Clyclades etc.
I can only speak to the functions of LMC 1200 / SBE T1 PCI cards.
I had a source for “previously enjoyed” cards, but they are all gone.. ![]()

thanks Craig, I called SBE and talked to Ben Dewey. He said he thinks the T1 card that they are now offering will work “if” Mikrotik has built in the drivers for it. He said that he had worked with Eugene Butan on a T3 card. If the drivers are in Mikrotik for it then it will work for the T1 card.
I have searched the 2.9 documents and all the other cards listed are no longer available.
As for the SBE card I will go ahead and spring for the $560usd and try it out.
Thanks again, Mike
There is a LONG history RE SBE and MikroTik…
The current driver I KNOW works with up to 3 SBE / LMC 1200 cards.
I also know that the LMC / SBE T3 cards work..
I HAVE ONLY TESTED THE OLDER CARDS !!
I cant speak to the newest version of the SBE cards.
My mail server is probably off line (QWEST is “Fixing the lines”) but before you pay $$$ for a new card drop me a line at sales @@ software-routers.com
and give me some contact info and I can fill you in on the long story..
and some thinge to keep in mind.

mikrotik REALLY needs to update their drivers for the new sangoma cards!
Well just got the new SBE T1 $560 card in and purchased my key for 2.9.2x.
This new program is a little different than what I was using, 2.8.28. Looks like something is different and it is going to take me a while to set it up It just isnt working on the routed side. May go back to 2.8 to get things running if it will recognize the SBE.
Sory I did not get to you last week..
I just scrapped out my 1750 on friday for a MikroTik on 2.9.27..
ISP = Electric Lightwave.
WORKS GREAT !!
I will call ASAP..

Montana, I would be interested to hear what model number of that new SBE card you are using is…it would be a beautiful thing if these new cards work with 2.9. Make sure you have the synchronous package installed.

Agreed!
Well here goes.
Here is the web site.
http://www.sbei.com/index.php/products/wan/wanpci_1t1e1lp/
The card is a Low profile single port T1/E1 WAN PCI adapter. MT 2.9.27 does recognize it and I have it running and it seems ok. The only problem that I am having is trying to figure out how to get my class C public IP’s routed thru 2.9.
Any way hope this helps. The contact for the card is thru ACE Electronics in Calif. phone 951.699.8740 x10 David Sprol Cost of the card is $560 and it is in production.
Mike
Thanks much for the info
Did you have to configure the card from the command line, or were you able to do this from winbox? Last one of these I setup was on 2.8.28 and had to be done from the command line…
As for routing your IPs, just put the serial IP (the /30) on the T1 card, and your public block on your first ethernet. If you have internal (private) ips, just add your internal gateway IP/router address to the ethernet and masq that private block on that same ethernet port. Your NAT traffic will appear to have come from the serial IP, but it should work.
so finally there is a t1 card that is in production AND works in mikrotik? amazing! How stable is it? and like jarosoup asked, can you configure it from the command line?
