on general queues, using winbox, and 2.9.13, one has the option to select target upload and target download of say, 512k
on the Advanced tab, you again have the option to select target upload and target download. This is confusing me. should I just set this one to unlimited? What is this one really for?
I think I understand a little better after researching more. the first is the Max limit, the second, the CIR. In my case, I want their CIR to be whatever is available up to the Max limit. So, I am guessing I should just leave the CIR to unlimited?
If you have more than one queue, then, at first, traffic will be given to the queue with higest priority until it reach limit-at value, then traffic will be given to other queues in the priority order.
ONLY When all limit-at on the all queue is satisfied, queue with the higest priority will get rest of necessary traffic until it reach max-limit.
that sounds like I wouldn’t want unlimited option for limt-at then, correct?
