Check “/ip service”. Insure telnet is enabled and the “address” parameter is set to your localnet.
the situation is this:
IP Service List :
Name Port
X api 8728
ftp 21
ssh 22
telnet 23
winbox 8291
www 80
X www-ssl 443
Is it OK ?
That isn’t it then.
No hotspot on the interface, right?
Nothing blocking it in “/ip firewall filter”?
Nothing redirecting it in “/ip firewall nat”?
No hotspot
Nothing blocking…
Nothing redirecting…

So you connect, login, and a few minutes later this message appears?
If you expect specific help, you must provide specific symptoms.
yes,
I see the RB in the Neighbors List.
I connect to RB with MAC Telnet.
A few minutes later this message appears.
Thanks
I haven’t used MAC telnet with these routers, but the way it connects shouldn’t really matter after the connection is established. Either your telnet app is timing out the connection due to inactivity, or the radio loses connection. Check the router’s log to see if the radio is disconnecting just before the timeout.
I am testing my route with PuTTY now to see if it times out if I do nothing for a few minutes. I’m on CAT5 tho, not wireless.
edit: It did not time out. It was inactive for several minutes, and the connection is still active. ??
MAC tlenet is not very stable as it relies on Layer2 to transfer packets around. Use MAC telnet only for the initial connection when you set up IP address on the router and then use IP address to connect to. It is normal that after some time you get disconnections using MAC-telnet. (Same goes for MAC winbox connection)
Ok, very clear…
Then the mac address, since layer 2, can not pass through the router without a NAT rule, right?
Thanks
