Since a few upgrades back I’ve noticed that the built in Telnet function is not working anymore using any web browser with RouterBoard.
Clicking ‘Telnet’ changes the URL in the address bar but that’s it, nothing happens. In the past a new dialog box opened with the telnet interface but this doesn’t happen.

Thanks for responding. As I’ve said, the issue is that nothing happens when clicking on Telnet under Tools while another screen should open. It used to open in the past but since a few versions it doesn’t anymore.

Developer mode shows that there’s an issue with the code? Also when going via IP > Neighbours > other mikrotik device > telnet / mac telnet
I suspect this is a bug… I’d really like this to be fixed!
Although, I don’t agree with winbox being better. I’d prefer working with a web interface, I’ve experienced multiple connection issues with winbox for external devices which I don’t have when connecting through the web interface.
Could you perhaps confirm if the Telnet function is working or not for you via webfig with the latest version? If not, where can we file a bug report?
It’s broken in latest 6.45beta27 too. Both Telnet and MAC Telnet. You can report bugs to MikroTik by sending e-mail to their support. They might notice it here in forum, but it’s not guaranteed.
