"Terminals" might be getting WinBox support

I’m trying to get WinBox support merged into an application called Terminals that’s used for managing remote connections to various devices, hopefully it’ll get merged soon.

It’s not yet merged into Terminals master, but I’m hoping it’ll be soon.

This would mean that you can manage WinBox, RDP, SSH, VMRC etc.. All in the same GUI =)

I’m also interested in knowing, are many of you guys using mRemoteNG? If that’s the case i might take some time implementing WinBox support there too, and try getting it merged.

Wonder how it will handle winbox updates, any ideas?

There are different solutions to this, i mailed MikroTik support and asked, and we’re free to redistribute the unmodified WinBox.exe as part of the application bundle.

Another version would be to try downloading WinBox from http://www.mikrotik.com/download/winbox.exe on every application startup (or some other interval, maybe once a week). Then compare file hashes, if it’s never we’ll try replacing it.
