I have just replaced an Engenius ESR6670 router with a RB951G-2HnD which should be better. I configured the router as is suggested in the Wiki. The download speed is at most half of the speed that I was getting with Engenius. The connection is made through a directly connected IP on the WAN side, and the clients connect through publicly accessible IP addresses on the LAN ports, as the NAT is disabled. It is exactly the same setup as it was with the Engenius router. The performance, especially download speed, is bad. Am I doing something wrong, should I return the router? I am disappointed by now.
Well, it may be a false alarm. I connected the laptop in a wired fashion to the router and the speeds are those that are expected. I use two powerlines(500Mbps, Gigabit ports) that exhibit from time to time this kind of behaviour(lower speeds). I’ll keep an eye on this, nevertheless! The router itself, and the OS seem nice, indeed.
I do not open a new thread for this. I have a RB951G-2HnD, as this thread also mentions. The System Health section does not display anything, when I click it it’s just an empty page with an Apply button on it. If I press on that Apply button, nothing happens. Something is wrong, I presume?
This model doesn’t have any of the relevant sensors, so there is nothing to display. I suppose it would be better if it said “This page intentionally left blank” or hid the menu, or something.
