Hi,
I do not own a MikroTik router, nor the RouterOS. I searched the FAQ and the forum, but couldn’t find an answer to my question. I would like to use a MikroTik to cause packet loss and simulate delay between two Ethernet interfaces, each on a unique subnet. The product I’m testing is in the satellite world, so I need to create delay of approximately 600ms to 1.8 seconds. For packet loss, I would like to be able to specify a particular Bit Error Rate, say somewhere between 1 in 100,000 or 1 in 1,000,000.
I currently do this work with a Soekris router running monowall, but the software lacks the features of a “real” router like the MikroTik. Thanks for any advice.
