I’m trying to get some accurate bandwidth tests between some of our links.
What type of bandwidth test on the Mikrotiks (CCR) simulates common internet traffic on a half duplex wireless link. We use multi core CCR routers… so CPU should only very little influence the test results.
I realize the UDP .vs TCP, single connection .vs multiple connections, send/receive/both, all result in different test results.
What testing method most accurately reflects common internet traffic (mix of tcp, udp, streams, bursty, etc traffic)?
