hi i’m now running the latest version of the dude.
i must say, waw… this is i big improvement.
i made the dudes.exe a windows service with servany.exe and instsrv.exe
and now my remote the dude is running nice.
but i noticed one little thing that is enoying.
all my MT v2.9 routers are manageble with the dudes.
but my V2.8 ar not.
is this normal???
how did you tested that v2.8 doesn’t work with dude?
pretty simple…
i’ve added 3 V2.9 MT routers.
added 3 V2.8 MT routers.
added the correct username and passwords for them.
then if i use tools/winbox on them
alle the v2.9 work
but the 2.8 ones don’t
winbox access from The Dude to 2.8 version and older routers does not work, because the Dude is made for v2.9 and up (we have discontinued any development of v2.8 ).
