THe Dude give a blue item instead of red

Hello,

When one of my devices fails on the network, then normally i see them go red in the Dude. Now and then they don’t turn red but blue.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

I’m using the Dude 4 beta 3

blue means that somebody clicked on it, and selected “Ack”. It means “Acknowledged”, ie. “I know that there is a problem with this device, so stop reminding me”. To turn back to normal mode, choose “unack” in the device settings.

Normis,
I think the issue of devices staying “Acked” in The Dude has been raised before. Can I suggest that in future development of The Dude, Mikrotik provide the ability to “permanently Ack” or “temporarily Ack”. Permanent Acked devices would show green when they are up but blue when they are down - useful for devices that are only active occasionally (such as a mobile system). Temporarily Acked devices stay blue until they come Up again, then go green and are automatically Unacked. This way we don’t get caught out by having “pre-Acked” devices that we have forgotten to Unack after some previous failure.

Keep up the good work on The Dude. This is a great product!!!

Thanks for the answer. I gues it cannot be resolved then right now.

Geoffsmith31 I agree!

The acked/unacked difficult to use.
Previous version (2.2) did not have “unack” We should not have upgraded to 6.3.
There is no solution to anything?

Thanks!
